Dr Dal Goodman B Eng, MBBS, FRACGP

 

Dal is married and has four children. His first degree is in Engineering, but his varied career has included working as a charter pilot and flying instructor, computer salesman, and briefly in civil engineering. Dal worked with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) from 1989 to 1996, including postings as a diplomat to Papua New Guinea and Malaysia. In 1996 Dal left DFAT for family reasons, and in 1999 fulfilled a lifelong dream by being accepted to study medicine. With the support of his wife Kath, in 2002 he graduated from the University of Queensland. He worked for Queensland Health for four years, finishing as a Senior Medical Officer in a rural hospital. After training and working in General Practice, then working as Chief Medical Officer for International SOS in Hanoi, Viet Nam, he is now a General Practitioner on Queensland's Sunshine Coast.

 

Peter Goodman B Ed

 

Peter has also had a varied career, having worked in radio advertising, heavy industry, computer retailing and teaching. He teaches English and History at a private school in South East Queensland and has tutored in Sociology at The University of Queensland. Peter spent much of his childhood overseas, and attended schools in Papua New Guinea, Indonesia and India. He enjoys traveling and has taught in Indonesia and China.
